Whilst our on-site facilities provide such varied activities and pursuits that will keep our guests busy thought their stay with us, we recognise that equally many of you will use The Ranch as a base from which to explore South Ayrshire and beyond. Listed below is a section of places of interest.
Golf
Ayrshire wouldn't be Ayrshire if we couldn't offer you a game of golf, and there can be no finer base for the keen holiday golfer than The Ranch. The area abounds in golf courses, of all types and sizes, from the most exotic of venues such as the top class Ailsa and Arran courses at Turnberry, where the British Open is regularly held, to the local municipal course in Maybole. The Park is run by an ex-tournament golf professional and it will be no surprise therefore to learn that there are enough courses within a twenty mile radius to allow the really keen golfer to play two different courses every day for a week.
Walking & Cycling
Visitors can enjoy good walking or cycling trails within easy reach of the Park. For example, nearby Mochrum Hill, which overlooks Mochrum Loch, provides an unchallenging yet invigorating walk. Cyclists will be pleased to learn that this area of Ayrshire is the training ground for many competitive riders including Graham Obree and members of the Scottish Mountain Bike team. So the competitive cyclist can maintain their training wiilst the fun cyclist can enjoy the views. Further information regarding routes is available on site.

If you are a sportsperson, The Ranch is for you. If you are not a sportsperson, The Ranch is still for you. We really do offer something for everyone.
